How to prepare for your tan... Clients should shower, exfoliate and shave prior to appointment. Avoid using deodorant, moisturizer, makeup or and product. When clients use an exfoliant, choose a water-based product if possible. Bronzed FX will provide further consult once you have scheduled your appointment with us.
A Lasting Tan Depends On You...
It takes a minimum of 4 to 6 hours for skin coloration to take place and will last 5-10 days depending on how you care for it. Skin naturally replaces itself every 28 days, so with any type of tan, it will fade if not cared for or prepped properly. Daily moisturizing is key in extending your tan. Healthy, moist skin leading up to the tan will retain the life better then dry skin. Clients should not exfoliate again for at least 7 to 10 days or it will shorten the life of the tan.
After your tan...
Ideally after your Bronzed FX Sunless Spray Tan, clients should wear dark, loose fitting clothing for at least six hours and avoid tear-jerker movies, work-outs leading to sweat and showering. When you shower, use any non-medicated moisturizing body wash to keep the skin moist. Avoid hard scrubbing as it will help to remove your tan. When drying off, pat the skin dry and don’t rub. You should moisturize twice a day, if possible by using a product with a tan-extender. Using a moisturizer with a tan extender ( a daily "hint" of glow ) will help in achieving three things: extending the life of the tan, blend any blemishes, and slow the fading process. Please consider a quality product as the lower-end items will only turn your beautiful, brown-toned Bronzed FX Tan orange. We do not want that to happen.
Bronzed FX tans men as well...
Most men think that they are not a candidate for this treatment because of body hair. However, Bronzed FX uses the most advanced technological equipment available in professional HVLP airbrush systems. A specialized spray gun producing a super fine mist provides optimum results, whether you are a guy or a gal. Many of our most loyal and repetitive clients are men.
Clients of considerable size....
Many of our best clients are of size and most have optimum results. However, please be aware that a variety of body and health criteria can affect the clients satisfaction of the spray tanning result sooner rather than later. Please advise Bronzed FX in advance if you have any concerns.
It doesn’t take long for VIP Mobile Services...
Upon arrival to your chosen location, whether it be your home, office or other location, the tanning process will only take about 15 minutes for a single individual once we set up. A pop-up tan tent will be set-up, where during the treatment, the client will stand inside while the technician applies the bronzer. Clients will turn on queue until we have covered your entire desire spray areas. The entire process can be complete in as little 45 minutes and you will have a beautiful Bronzed FX tan in the privacy of your own space.
Please consider what we will need from you...
We will need access to an outlet, a well lit area for us to apply your tan, and if you choose, a space large enough to fit the pop-up tent. It can be a bathroom, kitchen, or living room -- wherever the light is best. This can be decided once we arrive.
Bronzer will rub off...
Clients may see slight trace of bronzer. It can rub off the same way that foundation does. After your first shower, many clients confidently wear white cotton clothing. You DO NOT want to put on a light satin, silk or leather item prior to your 1st and if possible 2nd shower.
Leather, silk or satin is a no-no!
We ask that you use a towel to cover your leather car seats and avoid the above mentioned fabrics. This is only necessary for the first 24 hours.
Pregnant or lactating?
The FDA has deemed DHA safe for use topically, however, Bronzed FX will require a note from your doctor prior to receiving treatment if you are pregnant in order to be sprayed. Lactating mothers can be sprayed without a note as long as your breast area is covered.

Please be aware that the FDA has approved DHA, the active ingredient used in spray tanning, safe for topical & external use only. BRONZED FX CANNOT GIVE MEDICAL ADVISE. Please be advised that clients should choose to inhibit inhalation of solution overspray/misting and consider using the provided cotton balls as a barrier for nostrils and ears. You may also wish to apply petroleum jelly or chap stick on your lips. If you are lactating, you must be wearing a garment that covers your breast area. If you are pregnant or think you may be, a doctor’s note must be accompanied with your signed liability release.
